About the Goodall Gallery

Established in 1977, the Goodall Gallery was officially dedicated and named in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Leon S. Goodall in 1982. Located in the Spears Center for the Arts, the Gallery presents high-quality exhibits that feature local, regional, national, and international artists. The Goodall Gallery operates under the Columbia College Art program

Our Mission

To educate, enrich, and engage the students, the campus, and the public by presenting quality art exhibitions that support the mission of Columbia College and promote the visual arts in the community through the accessibility of artworks and artists who have established a personal language and voice to express issues of personal significance.

Meet the Director

Brittany M. Watkins (b.1989, Carrollton, GA) is an interdisciplinary conceptual artist and adjunct professor based in Columbia, SC. She has exhibited in art fairs, museums, and experimental spaces in the U.S. and abroad.

Caroline R. Hatfield's solo exhibition (pictured here), "Celestial/Terrestrial," is on display now at Goodall Gallery, alongside Thomas Washington Jr.'s "Venerated/Integrated" in The Loft Gallery. Though different in material makeup and presentation, these divergent artists each employ fantasy in their survey of environment.

Join us for the closing reception on Thursday, March 14th, from 5-7:30 PM to hear about the materials, artistic processes, and depth of these otherworldly creations. Artist talks will start at 6 PM, and refreshments will be provided.
